"Reading, When?"

Do you have to carve out time in your day for reading (due to work and other obligations), or does your reading just happen naturally?
Most of the time, my reading just happens naturally. It’s what I do when I don’t have anything else I’m obligated to.
Sure, there are days – where I have to go to with Tony shopping,  so my reading has to be fit in where I can get it. I might read before bed, or I’ll curl up with my book for a bit in the morning before my day starts.
Nevertheless, I just pick up my book whenever I’m not spending time with family / friends. And, since I don’t have a lot of friends that I hang out with, and family often does their own thing,  and are to far away to care if I'm reading, I frequently have time to indulge. ;)
#1: I don’t watch much daytime TV at all, so that allows me that much more reading time.
#2: An example of my day – is as follows:
Get up … make my bed... stumble to the kitchen and fix myself a cup of tea...  while checking email/blogging… do daily Bible reading… or read W/T or Awake... eat lunch… sit and read for a few more  hours… check emails...  make & eat dinner… watch TV for an hour or two... or I may read for an hour or two if nothing is of interest to me on TV… watch the news at 10 o'clock and if  I am still awake, I will watch some of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and then go to sleep.
;)
((Yes, I’m totally spoiled in how much reading time I get! Notice the lack of housework mentioned? That’s ’cause I often opt to read, instead… shame! Yes, the work does get done, but often it waits until I am done a book, or until another day. LOL. Mind you, laundry can be done while I’m reading — I set the book aside to put in/change a load, then go back to "My Reading Corner."

  1. We're funny. I just put on purple girl a little bit about what I did yesterday. Sometimes it scares me we are so much alike. LOL

  2. I guess Gale knows wherefore she is coming from when she says you are getting more like me all the time. Sorry for you, if you are. My life isn't much to brag about. The most excitement in my life is reading an exciting good book. hahaha
