"The Lucky One"

What will I be reading this week-end? This Nicholas Sparks book. I got it a few weeks ago. It is not his most recent book, I really don't know how I missed it, since I enjoy his books.

I have been reading a little of it each evening, and I find it quite enjoyable. It is about a U.S. Marine who finds a photograph of a smiling young woman in the dirt during his tour of duty in Iraq.

Back home in Colorado, he can't seem to get the woman in the photograph out of his mind and he sets out on a journey across the country to find her.  I am just to the part where he finds her... this week-end I will read the rest of the exciting story.. Where it takes me I do not know... But it is the kind of book you don't want to put down once you start reading it.

A Teaser:  "Oh," she said. Handsome or not, his story didn't sit right, and she heard mental alarm bells starting to go off. There was something else, too, something gnawing at the back of her mind, and it took her a few seconds to realize what it was. When she did, she took a small step back from the counter, creating a bit more space between them. "If you just got to town, how did you know the kennel was hiring? I didn't run an ad in the paper this week."


REVIEW:  I  really did enjoy the book. It kept my attention all the way through. As a matter of fact, I hated to put it down when my alloted reading time was used up. Again it had an ending, that kept you on the edge of your seat, very exciting. I give it 5 stars out of 5. If it is made into a movie or already is a movie, (I don't know) I will definitely go to see it, or buy the DVD... Now off to figure out what my next book to read will be......
