"The Faithless One"

Today, I decided I wanted to read a book that would be a quick read, since there is nothing on TV that sounds interesting to me.

I can't remember when I last read A Harlequin Romance, because I lean toward mystery romance, and Nicholas Sparks love stories. With his books you never can guess the endings, some may be happy, some sad, and others bittersweet. He always has a nice little twist to the endings, which I like.

This book was given to me by my sister Mary a few years ago. She gave me over 50 books that she had read, and this happens to be one of them. I noticed she read it in 1977. She almost always writes the date she reads the books, and sometimes she leaves a little critique whether it is good, very good, or boring.

The copyright in the book is 1966, and I like the fact that it was only fifty cents. I looked on the internet, and there are some being offered for $1.00.  That was just an interesting little tidbit I thought I would throw in.

Well, I better get settled into "My  Reading  Corner," if I want to get this read today...

Review: This book was a fun little read as Harlequin Romance Books go. They are very predictable, that is why I read very few of them. Boy and Girl, have known each other all their lives. Girl is head over heel in love with Boy, Boy, falls in love with someone else... Girl pines away, finally Boy realizes it is Girl he loves and confesses his love for her, and Boy and Girl live happier ever after...  I give it 2.5 stars out of 5 stars. Would I read it again?  No.
